Research (Dan)

Music between 1985 – 2017 how has it changed

Back in 1980s the music used to be pretty calm and relaxing, it didn’t have a great beat.

Our music play list for the early 2000s are going to be…

  1. Owl city – fire flies – 2009
  1. O-town – all or nothing – 2001
  2. Britney spears – toxic – 2003
  3. Jason Derulo watcha say – 2010
  4. Evanescence – bring me to life – 2003

Over the last 20 years music has got a lot better with more famous people being named every year, the beat of music has got better and the bass has got louder as well.

There has been a change in instruments as well over the last 20 years, most music use to have a slow beat with a trumpet or sax in the background, now music has a fast beat with guitars or pianos in the background.

There has been a lot of new instrument been introduced over the last 20 years.

After 2005+ people started making remix’s of old song and new song and to this day people still make remix’s and some of them are good and some better than the original song.

Influences

Nick Grimshaw

Nick does a radio show, on Radio 1 near enough everyday. The reason that I see him as an influence is that he has a lot of energy and has a really good and presentable voice. Nick also has guests on his show and he always has an unlimited amount of question to ask the guest. Nick always goes into show full of energy and continuities that though his show and even outside the studio.

Toby Anstis

Best known for presenting the big top 40s on popular radio station Heart. He has extremely presented voice and also very clear and calming voice. I find that he has a great voice and ways has a smile whenever he has presented a show. Toby positive attitude.
